CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: 2015 LITERARY RESIDENCY PROGRAM IN NOVO MESTO (SLOVENIA)
The Goethe-Institut Ljubljana is running a literary residency program in Novo mesto (Slovenia) from 1 September to 30 September 2015.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Goethe-Institut Ljubljana is running a literary residency program in 2015, in collaboration with the Slovene publishing house Goga. The program is open to applicants from the field of literature. Grant holders will use the one-month stay to pursue individual literary projects. The residency stay in Novo mesto is intended to provide the participant with suitable conditions for literary work, becoming acquainted with the Slovene literary scene and cultural life of Slovenia and presenting their work before the Slovene public. The grand holder has the opportunity to work on their projects and it is expected that they will present their work to the local public in readings in Novo mesto and Ljubljana. In addition, the residency fellows will contribute a text on their impressions of the stay to the homepage of the Goethe-Institut Ljubljana. Support and organization of events will be undertaken by the publishing house Goga and the Goethe-Institut Ljubljana.

SERVICES AND FACILITIES OFFERED
- Provision of an apartment in Novo mesto from 1 September to 30 September 2015 (http://www.goga.si/en/residence-programmes/gogas-writers-residence/)
- Contribution of max. €250 for return travel costs (economy class flights, train 2nd class)
- Contribution of €1000 towards living expenses (scholarship)
- Assistance in establishing contact with creative practitioners and institutions relevant to the proposed project, supported by the Goethe-Institut and the publishing house Goga
ELIGIBILITY AND CONDITIONS
This residency program is open to applicants who live and work in Germany, have a minimum of one published work and are professional practitioners in the field of literature (all literary genres).

Please submit a letter of motivation (max. two pages) stating why you wish to take part in the residency program. In addition, you must provide a description of the project you would like to pursue during your stay.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
The selection will be made by an independent jury. The decision of the jury is final and incontestable. The applicants will be informed about the decision of the jury by 6 July 2015 at the latest.
